When using Unbescheiden’s colonic Intervention equipment, patients bend their legs slightly and lie comfortably on a special table in the tub. The irrigator reservoir is filled with water and is fastened above the patient so that the enema takes place solely through hydrostatic pressure. For optimal pressure regulation, the height of the irrigator reservoir can be adjusted depending on the treatment phase or the patient’s preference. Either thermal or mineral water can be used for an enema, and if indicated, medication can be added to the water.
